Community Care Assistant (Driving Essential)

Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:

Work as Community care assistant to provide personal care.
-
Must have access to your car and be able to drive to service user's home and take service user out where necessary.
-
To work in a domiciliary care service as Community Care Assistant with service users over 65years.
-
You will be working within community of where JCM care services have care packages from our local authority adult social team and NHS.
-
Work as Care Worker to provide personal care and support for service users at their home.
-
Work directly under the JCM care services registered Manager Direction.
-
Carry out observation and keep record of service user’s daily activities in the care plan.
-
Support and supervise service users with daily shores such as outing & shopping.
-
Must work in line with the policies and procedures of the JCM care services.
-
Work in a team and communicate effectively among the JCM care services Team.
-
Meeting with service users to discuss their practical and emotional needs.
-
Designing care plans that best suit the service users’ needs and ensure care delivered is person centred.
-
Providing emotional support by talking to service users about their needs and listening to their concerns.
-
Assisting & provide domestic tasks including shopping, cooking, cleaning, and washing.
-
Assists and enables service users to dress, undress, wash, and use the toilet and bath.
-
Prepare & serve meals to service users at table or in bed and assists with feeding if required.
-
Generally, assists with service users' overall comfort and wellbeing.
-
Provide interest and activities to stimulate and engage the service user in their home or take them to an activity centre.

Help with daily activities such as letter writing, paying bills, collecting benefits.
-
Undertake light cleaning and domestic duties including meal preparation as required.

Administer medication and ensure to record promptly, correctly in JCM care services recording system.
-
Carry out, record and monitor service users' conditions by taking temperature, respiration, and weight, and contributes to record keeping.

Liaises with professional staff in carrying out care plans etc.

To be aware of the company. Including the structure of the organisation.
Qualifications and Person Specification:

Physically Capable: The role may require assisting clients with movement and daily tasks.

Mandatory: Right to work in the United Kingdom.

Desired: Previous experience in a care-related role is a plus, but not required, as full training will be provided. A relevant qualification like an NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential.

Driving: A valid UK drivers license and own car is vital for this position.
